The Lions Present Yeoman to the Trust

17 August 2009

Last winter, the Trust acquired two Yeoman sailing boats in order to develop sail training. One of these boats was donated by the Wroxham & Hoveton Lions Club who came to the Centre on Tuesday 11 August 2009 to hand over the Yeoman to the Trust.

Trustee David Prettyman was present to accept the boat on behalf of the Trust, which will be the sister boat to Lions Pride, also supported by the Lions Club. The new boat is named Simba (Swahili for ''Lion'').

David and Colin were there to talk about the work we do, and how much the Trust appreciates the support of the Lions. As you can see from the pictures, it was a glorious afternoon with a good turn out from the Lions to see the boat handed over.
