‘The evening naturally developed into two parts. Following the initial painting session, we took a leisurely trip to Irstead Shoals and Catfield Dyke, discussing composition, colour, light and shade along the way. We then returned to The Ark to continue the creative painting session before making our way back to base after a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
I believe I speak for everyone who attended when I say that it was a genuinely successful event. I hope this first session opens the door to further themed activities, not only in the evenings but also during weekdays and weekends. Ideas such as photography, wildlife observation, or other creative and outdoor activities would, I believe, be well received.’
